A university, teacher or employer checking whether a WYE award is real does not have to contact the student, and does not have to take a PDF certificate on trust: every award carries a unique certificate number that can be verified here for years afterwards.
The certificate number is printed in the bottom right of the certificate and repeated in the award email. It maps to exactly one record and does not change with name spelling or language version.
Each number also has a permanent link: worldyoungeconomist.org/verify/WYE-2026-L1-0042. Students can put that link straight into a CV, an application or a personal site.
A verification only means anything if it still resolves years later — by the time a student applies to graduate school or for a job, the award is often three to five years old.
If an admissions office or school needs several records checked at once, send the list of student names and numbers to the verification address and we return a signed written confirmation. There is no charge, to students or to institutions.
